We all want our children to grow healthy, happy and strong. Healthy diet and balanced nutrition are the keys to their physical and mental growth. In recent years, various studies show that the inclusion of natural, organic and diversified nutritious food in the children’s diets not only can enhance their concentration, learning ability, physical fitness and emotional wellness, but also reduce the risks by suffering from Obesity and Type II Diabetes. Thus, education on healthy diet is very important to our children’s growth. In order to enrich parents’ knowledge about healthy diet and balanced nutrition, as well as to enable them to put the concept into action, we are very glad to have a certified holistic health counselor and a famous raw chef in Hong Kong to host a workshop for us.
Ms. Elisa Haggarty, an English teacher at Yew Chung International School – Secondary and a certified holistic health counselor with in-depth knowledge on healthy diet, would like to share with parents on how parents could help their children grow healthily and establish a good lifestyle through food selection by interactive discussion, Q&A session and information sharing.
In the workshop, Mrs. Priscilla Soligo, an Australian raw chef, will guide parents and children to make Brain Food Smoothies and Snow Lollypop Chews. Mrs. Soligo is a graduate of Elaina Love’s Pure Joy Culinary Academy and raw food detox programme. She has also trained personally with one of the Australia’s most prominent raw food chefs Ms. Julie Mitsios and has taken UK’s Russell James courses. She also holds a degree in early childhood development. She combines her two professions together and recommends raw food recipes online, of which many are delicacies with balanced nutrition designed for kids.
Many parents might worry their child’s daily diet. So why don’t you take this opportunity to learn more on child’s all-round development through daily diet?
